Owen Srour, DVM grew up in California’s central valley. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, his life-long love of animals took him to England to study veterinary medicine at the prestigious Royal Veterinary College. Upon completion of their 5-year program, he received his doctorate, with honors, in veterinary medicine. He stayed in the U.K. to work with small animals for two years before returning to the U.S. After a three-state search, he fell in love with the Bellingham area & a small animal practice with a welcoming staff at Maplewood Animal Hospital. When he is not at work, Owen is an avid bicyclist. He has participated in road bike competitions in the past, but right now his passion is mountain biking. He is a talented photographer & tries to take some sort of camera with him wherever he goes. He also enjoys hiking & cooking.
